The Awaited Schedule For 2009 World Series Of Poker Released
Harrah’s has released the long awaited World Series of Poker schedule and the event is set for May 27th. It is scheduled to begin with the $500 Casino Employee event and end with the World Series of Poker champion on May 27th.
According to reports the final table is scheduled to begin on November 7th and run through November 10th where the winner will be deemed champion of the 2009 World Series of Poker. The November nine is back and the main event is scheduled for a break in proceedings July 15th and return to action on November 7th.
On May 28th there will be a $40,000 four day event held to honor the 40th anniversary of the World Series of Poker.
There is going to be ten $10,000 buy-in World Champion events, a tournament known as the “Stimulus Special” that will begin on May 30th with a $1,000 buy-in. For this event Harrah’s is expecting an approximate prize pool of nearly five million dollars.
The re-buy events will include a June 28th Triple Chance tournament of No Limit Hold’em. There will be two events held with a buy-in of under $2,500 and total there will be 57 events held for the 2009 World Championship of Poker.
There will be 10 World Champion of Poker events; with Seven Card Stud, Mixed, Omaha High-Low split, 2-7 Draw Lowball, Heads-Up, Limit Hold’em, Seven-Card Stud High-Lo Split, Pot Limit Omaha, Pot Limit Hold’em and No Limit Hold’em.

May 28th at noon; 4 day event: the 40th annual No-Limit Hold’em $40,000
May 29th at noon; 3 day event: Omaha High-Low split eight or better $1,500
May 30th at noon; 4 day event: No-Limit Hold’em $1,000
May 31st at noon; 4 day event: No-Limit Hold’em $1,000
June 1st at noon; 3 day event: Pot Limit Omaha $1,500
June 1st at 5:00 p.m.; 3 day event: Seven Card Stud, World Championship $10,000
June 2nd at noon; 3 day event: No-Limit Hold’em $1,500
June 2nd at 5:00 p.m.; 3 day event: 2-7 Draw lowball $2,200
June 3rd at noon; 3 day event: Pot-Limit Oamaha / Hold’em $2,500
