Oleg Suntsov, The Star Of Russian Poker Tour Debut

Oleg Suntsov is a common name in the Russian Poker Rooms. Last week in Russia’s St. Petersburg Oleg walked out with the winning money of the Russian Poker Tour Debut sponsored by the PokerStars.com. The final table on last Sunday begins with the seven Russians and two others in the table. Everybody knew from the very beginning that it is going to be a tough game as all of them were the best online players. The 201 initial entrants’ survivors settled their accounts and paid $5,000 entry fee for the table. The final cash amount declared for the table was around One Million US Dollars with approximately $300,000 which resulted in over 10 Million Russian Rubles for the winner.

Few big stars of online Poker was also there on the table that day. The Break out player of 2008 Ivan Demidov and the PokerStars Pro Vanessa Rousso and the famous Alex Kravchenko were playing in the same room.

Moldava’s Dimitru Gaina had the highest numbers of chips and every one was looking us for a great hand. On the first half of the game Suntsov was having a real tough time but he never gave up. Within in a few minutes he doubled up and made his strong hold on the table. Few of the other players were pushed out of the table in the final.

The last part of the game was breath taking when the contenders fought. Belarusian Vadim Markushevsky had a head on battle with Oleg Suntsov. The winning hand went to Suntsov when the chips went in his hand and the board was showing a 6-9-3-5 combination. Markushevsky showed the top pair of K-9 but Suntsov had a Q-Q for the lead on the table. Oleg Suntsov was declared as the winner of the Russian Poker Tour Debut and he walked away with 10,616,000 Russian Rubles.
