The final table on last Sunday begins with the seven Russians and two others in the table. Everybody knew from the very beginning that it is going to be a tough game as all of them were the best online players. The 201 initial entrants’ survivors settled their accounts and paid $5,000 entry fee for the table. The final cash amount declared for the table was around One Million US Dollars with approximately $300,000 which resulted in over 10 Million Russian Rubles for the winner.

Few big stars of online Poker was also there on the table that day. The Break out player of 2008 Ivan Demidov and the PokerStars Pro Vanessa Rousso and the famous Alex Kravchenko were playing in the same room.

Within in a few minutes he doubled up and made his strong hold on the table. Few of the other players were pushed out of the table in the final.

The last part of the game was breath taking when the contenders fought. Belarusian Vadim Markushevsky had a head on battle with Oleg Suntsov. The winning hand went to Suntsov when the chips went in his hand and the board was showing a 6-9-3-5 combination. Markushevsky showed the top pair of K-9 but Suntsov had a Q-Q for the lead on the table. Oleg Suntsov was declared as the winner of the Russian Poker Tour Debut and he walked away with 10,616,000 Russian Rubles.

Gowen Files Amended Complaints against Full Tilt

February 5th, 2009

If you play poker or is an interested poker lover then read this article fully. You must have heard about Clonie Gowen who is one of the most celebrated poker stars around. You also must have come across the name of Full Tilt Poker which is the most favourite online poker companies in the UK. The interesting news here is that Gowen has filed in a complaint and had sued this online poker company. His lawsuit against this particular company consisted of a minority oppression claim against this online poker giant. It also consists of several other allegations which have been reported against the company by this pro player. Gowen has brought some allegations against the entire 13 member unit of Full Tilt consisting of its CEO/CFO Raymond Bitar.

She claims that the defendant breached their agreement of giving her 1% share of the profits. According to her the deal was set, that if she joins the company’s team and become “celebrity representative, promoter and spokesperson” then Full Tilt will give her the desired percentage of profits. In her allegation papers Gowen has also added some of the conversation details that she had with Bitar back in the year 2004. According to her Bitar entered into the issued agreement in that conversation itself. She also said that there were not much negotiations and it all worked out very smoothly indeed. Her lawyer said that the ace poker star completed trusted the statements that were given to her by the company and worked accordingly, but still she is the one in the receiving line.

However in the court of law Gowen’s amended complaint does not address some of the issues raised in the Full Tilt’s defendant motion. She did not point out directly to any of the thirteen member unit of the board but said that all the actions taken by Full Tilt were done with their authorization and consent. Most likely the court will dismiss the entire case in its entirety. But as it moves to the discovery phase, where both the parties will be interrogated with the documents that they produce might reveal some more facts. To know more you have to stay glued to this website and check in the upcoming articles that will come up shortly.

Getting poker rakeback

December 20th, 2008

When you are signing up for a new poker room, whether you are an experienced poker player or just started playing, you should definitely make sure that your account is set up so you will receive a part of your generated rake back to your account. There are several poker rooms that can offer a good rakeback deal for new account. In many cases you need to enter a specific bonus- or signup code upon registration or when you make your first deposit.

I would personally recommend signing up for a rakeback offer at the Cake Poker network, as they are handling all the rakeback payments themselves. This means that you will not have to count on any affiliate or third party to pay out your money. Another great feature at the Cake Poker Network is that you can always see your generated rake in real time, and of course also how much rakeback you will receive.

So what is rakeback? Well, every time you play at realmoney tables, the poker room will take a small fee which is the rake. This is usually around 5% of the pot. If you play a lot, this generates into quite large amounts and with a poker rakeback deal you would get some of this paid rake back to your account.

To receive a rakeback deal at Cake Poker you need to enter the signup code 33BACK which automatically gives you a 33% rakeback deal and also a 100% bonus on your first deposit.

Badugi now offered at PokerStars

December 5th, 2008

The asian poker game Badugi is so far only added at a few poker rooms online, but now since PokerStars is introducing Badugi, this game might catch up even among online poker players. Badugi, also called Padooki or Asian poker, is a bit similar to both Razz and Draw Poker.

At PokerStars you can play Badugi in SNG’s or tournaments and so far it seems to attract mostly low-limit players but it will be interesting to see what this game brings in the future.

Players go for the lowest four card hand where all 4 cards must be in different suits, a bit like lowball. The best hand in Badougi is A-2-3-4 offsuit. Note that aces are always low in this game. You can read the Badugi rules here.

This is an interesting game that can offer fast action and it is interesting how this old variation of poker will be taken on by online player. Badugi certainly has a place for bluffing and it is a mix between skill and luck.

Signup now at PokerStars and take on the fascinating game of Badugi, use PokerStars marketing code PAWSUB465 which gives the best promotions for new players.
