No more PokerRoom.com
One of the old popular online poker rooms has now completely closed down. Founded in Sweden at the right time to grow fast with the poker boom, PokerRoom.com became one of the biggest online poker sites.
In 2005 Pokerroom.com was sold together with the whole Ongame Poker Network for the massive amount of $500 Million. Buyers were the Austria based bwin.com and at the time of the selling, PokerRoom.com was even bigger than PokerStars and all other online poker rooms. The poker room has slowly disappeared by time and now bwin has decided to close the whole pokerroom and move all the players to bwin poker. There won’t be too much difference for the players as bwin is also located on the Ongame network. All players will find info for the move just by logging in and they will also be offered a cash bonus for the problems.
