FullTilt sued by Clonie Gowen

Clonie Gowen has just been told she will no longer be represented on the FullTilt Poker website or for any advertisements of the poker room. Clonie has recently filed a lawsuit against Full Tilt Poker, some Team FullTilt members (Howard Lederer among others), Tiltware, LLC and the list goes on. The reason behind this is verbal agreement between Gowen and Full Tilt Poker back in 2004, where Gowen would own 1% of the company. Apparently she has not yet received any money from this agreement and her constant promotion of FullTilt.

It has been said she also refused a check of $250,000 from Howard Lederer last year. Probably she thought that wasn’t a fair deal. Clonie Gowen is now suing Full Tilt Poker for $40 Million and it will be interesting to follow the case. FullTilt says her lawsuit is meritless and that there is no written documentation for the deal she claims.

Gowen has just left Team FullTilt and we can assume we have seen here in the Full Tilt gear for the last time. Clonie Gowen has been a well known player ever since she won the WPT Ladies Night in 2004 and recently she also won the World Poker Open 2008. We will see if this will damage her reputation or her play.
