EPT Budapest winner

First ever EPT Hungarian Open has been finished and it was William Fry from UK that captured the first place and so also the price money of €595,839. Well, that wes the official price money but since a deal was made between the top 3 players it is a bit unclear how much it is. In total this PokerStars EPT event attracted 532 players and it was the first time it was being held in Budapest.

Johnny Lodden was the first player to drop out of the final table after going all-in with his pocket kings after the flop holding the high pair. But as many times before the river blew it all for Lodden when Martin Jacobson found his straight.

William Fry from Nottingham, UK was underdog when they were entering heads-up play but it didn’t take long before he had battled his way back and eventually eliminated runner up Ciprian Hrisca.

To qualify for future EPT tournaments, try your skills in one of the many PokerStars qualifiers where you also can win seats to WPT and WSOP events.
