Doyle’s Room now on Cake Poker Network

Tuesday, February 17th, 2009

Poker site Doyle’s Room has recently moved from Microgaming to the Cake Poker Network. The main reason for the change is so the poker room can continue allowing US poker players to play with them. Microgaming had to make restrictions which made it difficult for them to accept players from USA.

Doyles Room is being run by true poker legend Doyle Brunson, ten time WSOP champion. Doyle says this among other things, about the change: “The liquidity and integrity associated with the Cake Poker Network made this an easy choice for our new partnership.”

This change should make the poker room more attractive for all players, with better promotions, more active players and top bonuses and loyalty programs. Here you will find all type of poker games and even lessons from Doyle himself.

Gowen Files Amended Complaints against Full Tilt

Thursday, February 5th, 2009

If you play poker or is an interested poker lover then read this article fully. You must have heard about Clonie Gowen who is one of the most celebrated poker stars around. You also must have come across the name of Full Tilt Poker which is the most favourite online poker companies in the UK. The interesting news here is that Gowen has filed in a complaint and had sued this online poker company. His lawsuit against this particular company consisted of a minority oppression claim against this online poker giant. It also consists of several other allegations which have been reported against the company by this pro player. Gowen has brought some allegations against the entire 13 member unit of Full Tilt consisting of its CEO/CFO Raymond Bitar.

She claims that the defendant breached their agreement of giving her 1% share of the profits. According to her the deal was set, that if she joins the company’s team and become “celebrity representative, promoter and spokesperson” then Full Tilt will give her the desired percentage of profits. In her allegation papers Gowen has also added some of the conversation details that she had with Bitar back in the year 2004. According to her Bitar entered into the issued agreement in that conversation itself. She also said that there were not much negotiations and it all worked out very smoothly indeed. Her lawyer said that the ace poker star completed trusted the statements that were given to her by the company and worked accordingly, but still she is the one in the receiving line.

However in the court of law Gowen’s amended complaint does not address some of the issues raised in the Full Tilt’s defendant motion. She did not point out directly to any of the thirteen member unit of the board but said that all the actions taken by Full Tilt were done with their authorization and consent. Most likely the court will dismiss the entire case in its entirety. But as it moves to the discovery phase, where both the parties will be interrogated with the documents that they produce might reveal some more facts. To know more you have to stay glued to this website and check in the upcoming articles that will come up shortly.
