Getting poker rakeback

Saturday, December 20th, 2008

When you are signing up for a new poker room, whether you are an experienced poker player or just started playing, you should definitely make sure that your account is set up so you will receive a part of your generated rake back to your account. There are several poker rooms that can offer a good rakeback deal for new account. In many cases you need to enter a specific bonus- or signup code upon registration or when you make your first deposit.

I would personally recommend signing up for a rakeback offer at the Cake Poker network, as they are handling all the rakeback payments themselves. This means that you will not have to count on any affiliate or third party to pay out your money. Another great feature at the Cake Poker Network is that you can always see your generated rake in real time, and of course also how much rakeback you will receive.

So what is rakeback? Well, every time you play at realmoney tables, the poker room will take a small fee which is the rake. This is usually around 5% of the pot. If you play a lot, this generates into quite large amounts and with a poker rakeback deal you would get some of this paid rake back to your account.

To receive a rakeback deal at Cake Poker you need to enter the signup code 33BACK which automatically gives you a 33% rakeback deal and also a 100% bonus on your first deposit.

Badugi now offered at PokerStars

Friday, December 5th, 2008

The asian poker game Badugi is so far only added at a few poker rooms online, but now since PokerStars is introducing Badugi, this game might catch up even among online poker players. Badugi, also called Padooki or Asian poker, is a bit similar to both Razz and Draw Poker.

At PokerStars you can play Badugi in SNG’s or tournaments and so far it seems to attract mostly low-limit players but it will be interesting to see what this game brings in the future.

Players go for the lowest four card hand where all 4 cards must be in different suits, a bit like lowball. The best hand in Badougi is A-2-3-4 offsuit. Note that aces are always low in this game. You can read the Badugi rules here.

This is an interesting game that can offer fast action and it is interesting how this old variation of poker will be taken on by online player. Badugi certainly has a place for bluffing and it is a mix between skill and luck.

Signup now at PokerStars and take on the fascinating game of Badugi, use PokerStars marketing code PAWSUB465 which gives the best promotions for new players.
